Volunteers are at the heart of what makes Promise South Salt Lake possible. Every day, neighbors step in to mentor youth, support families, and help create safe, welcoming spaces where our community can learn, grow, and thrive. Whether you’re helping a student build confidence in reading, supporting a community member with job skills at the SSL Co-Op, or lending a hand at a community event, your time makes a lasting difference. When you volunteer, you’re not just giving your time, you’re helping open doors, reduce barriers, and create opportunities.
We accept volunteers starting at 14 years old. 14 and 15 year olds generally require a parent or guardian to be present. 14 - 17 year olds require a minor wavier. 18 + require a background check. All must complete a self paced orientation and quiz. One time volunteers do not require a background check.
