Summer Camps

2026 Summer Camps will run from June 8 - July 17. All summer camps are now at capacity.

What we do

Youth entering grades 1-12 during the upcoming school year, 18 year old youth who finished high school this year, and youth who are home-schooled may be eligible to attend. Camps at community schools can only serve youth who attend school at the given site or home-schooled youth who live within the boundaries of the school. Camps at community centers can serve all youth and their families who live, learn, work, play, and pray in South Salt Lake.

South Salt Lake Community Center

9 AM - 5 PM | Elementary 1st-5th grade with the Hser Ner Moo and Kearns-Saint Ann programs.

10 AM-5 PM | Teen Tech Center 6th-12th grade with the Cottonwood program.

Lincoln Elementary

9 AM - 1 PM | Elementary 1st-5th grade with the Lincoln Elementary program.

Central Park Community Center

9 AM - 5 PM | Elementary 1st-5th grade with the Woodrow Wilson and Walker programs.

11 AM - 1 PM | Elementary 3rd-5th grade Boxing with the Central Park program.

1 PM - 5 PM | Teens 6th-12th grade with the Central Park program.

Historic Scott School Community Center

1 PM - 5 PM | Elementary 1st-5th grade with the Historic Scott School program.

1 PM - 5 PM | Teens 6th-12th grade with the Granite Park Jr. High program.

Space is limited! A number of different factors including family need, youth academic referrals, previous program attendance, and more is considered for enrollment. Our goal is to ensure that our programs are operating at full capacity whenever possible. While filling out an application early is extremely helpful, it does not guarantee a spot. Our staff will keep a waitlist and regularly check on attendance of currently enrolled youths. They will contact families from the waitlist to fill any openings that may become available.
- A complete application which requires a Student ID number (this can be found on your child’s report card). Student ID is not required for youth who are homeschooled.
- Attend a mandatory orientation. Youth cannot begin attending an afterschool program until their parent or guardian has attended a mandatory orientation or a makeup meeting with someone from our team.
Funding stipulations require PSSL to participate in ongoing evaluations, which includes sharing data including name, and program participation with evaluators. Evaluators use these data only for the purposes of fulfilling grant duties and do not share these data with any other third parties without your written consent.
